CODE OF ETHICS
While many of our members are practicing astrologers, some are not. Those that wish to practice astrology for the benefit of others must agree to the club's code of ethics. This code is adopted from the American Federation of Astrologers. A copy of the Code of Ethics is provided below.
CODE OF ETHICS (print, sign, and mail in with dues) I, the undersigned, subscribe to the following Code of Ethics as a condition of membership in the Akron Astrological Society.
I recognize that a precise astrological opinion cannot honestly be rendered unless it is based upon a horoscope cast for the year, month, day, time of day and correct geographical location. I agree not to render such an opinion without this detailed information, unless the horoscope has been rectified by accepted astrological methods, or unless I positively state to the the interested party that such conclusions are reached by alternative methods.
I agree not to interpolate or to introduce any interpretation or astrological deductions that are irrelevant to the science of Astrology without first stating that such deductions are neither based upon the chart nor identified with the discipline.
I agree to honor, respect and hold all confidences, placed in me by consultation, except wherein they may involve an act of felony or treason.
I agree not to use my identification with the Akron Astrological Society in any unethical manner.
I hereby subscribe to this Code of Ethics as a condition of my membership in the Akron Astrological Society. The Society reserves the right to terminate membership at the discretion of the Board of Directors. _____________________________________________ signature/date
